New user having ALT-TAB and freeze issues

Hi,
I installed Object Desktop yesterday and have tried running a desktop and Windowblinds 5 together. My system has frozen three times and had to be hard booted, in two cases it froze and in the last it went to a grey striped screen too so I suspect these are all video issues.

I now have windowblinds running and have turned off the desktop -- so far so good, even though I would prefer the desktop to work! But there is still a really annoying issue for me. In my work I am constantly alt-tabbing between two windows with a messenger window also running but minimized. Rather than alt-tab using the keyboard, I use a MS mouse which defaults to reproducing the alt-tab command with a press on the mousewheel switch. This is very fast and pretty much essential to me especially when I am using a laptop. The problem is that with windowblinds runnning, alt-tab does not work correctly and the messenger window keeps popping up as well as the next window in the sequence. I then have to click to hide it again. So in other words, with three windows running, when I tab from A to B, both B and C open instead of B alone. Any thoughts on this?

I am running a 1.6ghz Turion based laptop with Radeon Express 200M graphics and 640Mb of available memory.

Nope, forget that, it wan't a windowblinds/object desktop issue with the mouse.

However, it doesn't matter now as I've given up on Stardock stuff. I had repeated crashes, and in the end XP would not shut down and I could no longer connect to the net through my router. I had to do a system restore back to the point before I installed any of these applications, and everything is fine again. But as far as I am concerned it was a waste of money on buggy programs and I wish I'd stayed well clear of them. I accept that many people have good experiences, but I didn't. I had about three days of unreliable system and finally one that wouldn't even connect, and enough is enough.
