it was the theme manager, was changing to my first theme...  i have mcaffee which im sure that was not a problem....... no pop-ups from it..... this was a legit windows block. kinda like the one windows messenger does when sending an exe file through messenger....    anyhow. i have some others installed ....... antispy(in toolbar)  spyware doctor...(not running in background)   spybot search & destroy (not running)  ... i uninstalled and reinstalled.. but can not get that message to show up again...    when i change themes now. all it does is  nothing   , i can change wall papers. and other things..         os is win xp pro corp w/sp2 and all other updates to date.

was free from site......   but after playing around trying to get suites installed.. i have decided this software isnt worth the trouble, sure a nice desktop would look nice. i have managed to get the desktop x things to work..... but not all things like in the stargate desktop x, my toolbar doesnt change. on another desktop , it shows the new and the old icons on desktop together..   lots of bugs i think still involved...... or maybe just too complicated for me....... i just want a new theme.... including the cursor, window frames, and icons, desktop, wallpaper etc........   surely i can do all of this without having this software installed and without the confusion and sloppyness of all these file installation and uninstallation......           time to look on the net........

Do you ThemeManager only or you have other StarDock's software too (if you have .. whether they are limited (demo/free) or full (paid) version) ... !!!

Plus carefully see the name of dll because SD softwear naver say to run dll as a program.

As far as DX is concerned, it uses scripts though which are safe but Mcafee thinks they are not --- You need to exclude scripts (give permanent permission) to get them work fully.
