WindowBlinds/ObjectDock installation upgrade

I'm using older versions of WindowBlinds and ObjectDock and want to install the newer versions but don't want to uninstall WB or OD in fear of losing all my customizations. Can you install the newer versions overtop the older ones without losing your configs? I searched the FAQ and knowledge base but couldn't find anything. Thanks!
