Disable resizing?

ObjectBar rules! ... but can item resizing be disabled?

I've tried changing grip and resize borders, but I can't seem to disable the resizing cursor from appearing when you touch the edges of an item. I'd like a click in the corner of the screen to open my Start menu, not activate the resize tool.
