Not supposed to be out of bed, but how could I not come and post this very good news!
My stepdaugther, has returned home and appears happy to be here.
Obviously we've got alot of work to do to ensure everything goes and remains well, but we'll get there.
She admits that she needs to sort things out and asked our help and suport....naturally that'll be given, unconditionally.



Now I had better get back into bed before my wife sics the cat on me

Very nice way to start the New Year, Starkers. This development in the continuing saga of the Starkers Family is quite refreshing.

Still not feeling 100%, but I'm feeling so much better than I had been. I actually feel like I can stay out of bed now without getting dizzy and wanting to pass out.
My wife reckons I had to lay down cos I'm 6' 2" and not enough blood was getting to what little brain I have... sad, ain't it, when a bloke's not allowed to be ill, or at least be given the proper credit for it

Anyway, 2006 is going to be a great year, and it has been given a muchly fantastic start with Tanka's return. I'd be doing handstands and cartwheels, but then, I don't want toooo much blood rushing to what little brain I have Truth is, I'm just so happy to have her home again, not to mention relieved, ecstatic, overjoyed. No leaps over a tall building in a single bound, but I'm getting there and may be able to manage a short one fairly soon

The main thing is that our lil girl is at home again! Well 15 ain't so little, but just the same it's great to have her here with us again. About the only drawback will be the extra mess (teenagers), but we can live with that. Better that mess, though, than the one we were facing. It's not like we really have to go into her room (can keep the door shut, hey)

Our troubles aren't exactly over because of the welfare worker assigned to the case, being that she's fond of Gestapo tactics and lying, but we'll overcome her now we're a family unit that's sticking together, rather than being fragmented as before. Tanka is going to be making her own complaint about this case worker's behaviour and mismanagement, and I'm compiling a letter to the Minister which should hopefully remove her jackboots permanently (tongue 'd be nice too). According to our lawyer friend, this person has commited several breaches of the Child Protection Act....one being that she moved Tanka into a house with 4 men (not a safehouse) when she told us that she'd been placed a supervised department faciity.

Never be dealing with those people again....the Stalin's, Amin's and Hitler's obviously had several mentally deficient, bastard offspring who all seem to have gotten jobs in these departments.

The main thing is (rant off) we are working together as a family/team now, and I'm confident that everything will work out fine in the end. There are still some other issues that require attention, but we have made inroads and have enlisted the services of an experienced/qualified person we can and do trust to help us resolve those satisfactorily.

Rant on again: What d'ya give a person who's never had children, their only child experience, Golden Books....obviously no mother or father? A job in child welfare services.
