Get a life, IP address with no name who isn't even registered. Don't insult if you don't have the guts to tell people who you are. But Marvin, you should give sources if you're going to write potentially harmful stats.

Reading back, you state that:

alongside stating:

compared to only 0.6 percent of adult children of heterosexual parents having reported sexual relations with their parent

I draw your attention to the "having reported" bit. That could mean anything! The "true" stats could therefore be that 99.9% of children of hetero parents weremolested, but only 0.6% REPORTED it. You can't in all fairness state that it is possible to know that the true figure for homosexual parents molesting theirs kids is 29%! That is an outrageous claim, and I can only hope you made it up...

Did you know that 65% of all statistics are made up? Think about it...

I often criticize other bloggers for their poor spelling and sentence structure when presenting an argument. Poor English simply makes one a target for ridicule, as well as weakening one's argument.

Baseless statistics are worse than bad grammar.

First of all, even if we take your figures at face value, without quoting the percentage of gay people who are also parents, there is no way for anyone to tell what percentage of gays molest their own children. For instance, if 10% of gay people are also parents, then only 2.9% (0.1 * 0.29 = 0.029) of gay people molest their children. So you would condemn a whole segment of society for the crimes commited by only 2.9%? Yeah, that's enlightened. Second, the fact that a gay person gave in to the social pressure (assumedly by people like you) to get into a heterosexual marriage, against his nature, means that the gay person was probably under a lot of psychological stress that heterosexuals don't suffer at the hands of your particular widespread brand of ignorance. If the study didn't take this into account, then I'd be hard pressed to call it scientific. Third, given that only 4-10% of the population is gay, and an even smaller percentage is both gay and have offspring, the comparison between the miniscule number of gays who molest their own children, and the substantially larger number of heterosexual's who do the same is quite meaningless. How many subjects were in the study? How many of them were children of gay parents, and how many of straight?

I suspect that the number of girls who are molested or raped by men is larger than the number of boys who are. It would be silly for me then to condemn all straight people. Pederasty is bad. Incest is wierd and illegal, but strangely enough sometimes consensual -- so go figure. But to equate pederasty and incest with homosexuality is pure ignorance and poor math.

Don't mindlessly believe everything you read. Especially if you find it in a book written eons ago, by a culture completely alien to our own, and then translated countless times through the centuries.

Marvin I think you should relax with your gay bashing vendetta. I don't like poofters myself but you have to learn to live and let live old chap - it's their choice to live in that way so let them get on with it and concentrate on your own life. This sentence is grammatically incorrect.

I'd like to know if this study compared children who were ADOPTED by homosexual parents against children who were ADOPTED by heterosexual parents.  Have to compare apples and apples.

Why would it really matter if they were adopted or not? Are adopted children molested more often? If so, then whoever does the screening needs to be fired (from a cannon).

Obviously we either scared Marvin off, or he can't be bothered to back up what he says... nice one! Nice name, by the way.

I believe that 73% of all people called Marvin use pointless stats in articles on the internet, whereas only 2% of people called John where underpants on their heads daily. I can compare these 2, can't I??
