Chrstmas Tree--Lethal Weapon??

I was reading this article about Santa fighting off some "thugs" with a 5ft Christmas tree He also used his bag as a shield as the "thugs" attacked him. This story is funny yet sad, to see where are children are headed that they have to attack a Santa. Is there nothing better to do out there? Than to attack an innocent man trying to do some good and pass out presents. If someone could understand this...Please feel free to explain, because I can't figure it out

Seems that in 2 parent families that work, they don't seem to have the time to raise their children the way they should.  They are tired when they get home and what free time they have, they want to go out.  So the children suffer and the nations as a whole will suffer.

Well, in defense of the two parent household. Iam included in that "grouping" Wom. I have one child, but I do know where she is at all times and what she is doing. I have put the fear of MOM in her

We also have supper together every night, and discuss our day. I know a lot of families are unable to do this due to work. I consider ourselves as one of the lucky famlies that can spend the time needed with our child. Family night is also very healthy as well.

But, this is not a thread to evaulate parent/child up-bringing.

My question actually pretained to what would posses these childern to do such a thing? Also, what would make them think it was O.K.?
