pixelating wallpaper

I have a small problem, so instead of creating chaos on my maching I thought I would ask for help from the folks here. my wallpaper pixelates when I turn my desktop icons off. but, when I turn them on the wallpaper sharpens up and all is well. Is there a setting that I could change with out changing the resolution on my machine?????? Or is this something I have to live with????it happens with all my wallpapers, created or with downloaded packages. Any help is deeply appreciated. thank you and merry christmas.

Try upgrading your graphics card drivers. Dunno anything more though...

Are you using Icon X too ? That was the only product i've never been able to use. Its just messes up my desktop..but, probably because of out dated graphics driver.

I had the same problem my solution was to use desktopX to remove the all my icons works perfect
