IconPackager 3.1 released!

IconPackager 3.1 released!

Sub-packages, Control Panel icons, and more!

http://www.iconzone.com

Change your Windows icons with IconPackager 3.1.  IconPackager is a program that enables users to change nearly all icons on Windows at once by applying packages.  It incorporates into the Windows shell itself to add new icon changing functionality to Windows itself! There are hundreds of existing icon packages available to choose from.  Don't suffer from ugly Windows icons a day more.

IconPackager 3.1 adds:

  • Sub-Packages.  This is a new feature that enables icon authors to provide several sub-styles of their icon package. For example, a sub-style might just have different folder colors from the main style which can greatly reduce disk size and make it easier to have more flexible icon packages.
  • Added support for Media devices icon to folders.
  • Added support to several new Control Panel icons.
  • Fixed bug with favorites icon saving/loading.
  • X64 support
  • New Control Panel section for changing the icons in Control Panel.
  • Fixes to lots of reported issues from 3.0.

Note: This is an important update as many new icon packages are likely to use the sub-package feature including the upcoming Apogee icon suite.

Is it the final Apogee version that i purchased or is there another version coming out.

Judging from the size it is still the first version. And I hope IconX will be updated before the final version. I don't want to recompile the packs without 256 px Icons again.

The Final Version of Apagee after the first of Jan

Great news, Paul.....and great job on these ones.

On a side note for anyone,

The control panel icons are not applying on either my desktop or notebook (XP Pro, and XP Home - respectively).

- IP version 3.10.101

- Luna theme running for testing

I have tried installing the package in all following ways:

- using the ".exe" installer

- via Stardock Central

- by copying the folders to the "C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\Icon Packager\Themes" folder manually

I have uninstalled and reinstalled IconPackager 3.10.101 via Stardock Central > disabled all security including Anti-Virus > load package > verify that both the Control Panel option under "Include" is selected, and that the icons are showing in the preview dialog > Apply package.

Result = normal application of icons, with the exception of no "additional" control panel icons being applied.

Any ideas?

Note - my comment above refers to the Control Panel in 'category' view.

Perhaps I have misunderstood the added functionality, and IP only applies the additional icons to the 'classic' view of Control Panel - which it 'is' doing on both machines.

Iconpackager currently only supports the classic control panel icons. We hope that future versions will include the category view also.

OK, quick question. I purchased Apogee today, will the final version be available as an update through Stardock Central?
*EDIT*
Never mind, I found it.

I noticed the Apogee set is being advertised already. If it is not complete - why? The screenshot shows a lot more icon files than I got when I purchased. When will the update be available?

Happy Holidays everyone!

Will Apogee work with an old version of IconPackager?

BTW, what's the wallpaper called in the 4th screenshot?

IconPackager 3.1 required, according to the Apogee page https://www.stardock.com/products/themes/apogee/

BTW, what's the wallpaper called in the 4th screenshot?

I believe that is one of the "5imple" walls, included in the "5imple" WB skin https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=5306&LibID=1
