Yeah, they look pretty good but I can't get over "Yahoo! Widgets" I'd get the same impression if I saw McDonald's lobster tails.

DesktopX rules for me.

They keep updating the site one page at a time. When I first saw it, the front page was Yahoo!-ified, but not the widget gallery. Now everything looks has been changed.

Does any one know what new features there are besides new widgets and new name? I can't find any list.

For the curious:

McDonald's serves Lobster Burgers "Maclobster" in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. But I didn’t see these in PEI. These are offered readily over the summer months, and each burger is stuffed with 2 lobster tails costing roughly $1 more than bigMac.

Pfft. I'd rather not have the new features if it means it can still be called Konfabulator on my computer.

Good grief...

I saw the new "Yahoo Widget Engine", then I laughed and thought nobody will remember it in six months.

I realy like Stardock but I have to say those widgets look cool not as cool as Aquarium Desktop 2006 but they look cooler than most of the widgets uploaded here...

Konfabulator rules but I wont upgrade either until I see some of the new enhancements... I have a feeling the new name won't last for some reason

I tried upgrading - but the new engine messes with your desktop settings and even there's rumours about Yahoo! spyware in the code, so I'll be sticking with Konfabulator 2.1.1 for now

Yahoo Widget Engine DOES NOT INSTALL ADWARE OR SPYWARE secretly on your system. It gives you a choice to install the Yahoo Search Bar and to set your home page to Yahoo, that is all...

errr... I'm secretly trying to use Konfabulator widgets in AveDesk,
which I happily use. Think about it; ObjectDock is one of the biggest
libraries here (and elsewhere) and the docklets integrate without a hitch.

Konfabulator is too bloated and uses too much resource. I will not upgrade it to something marketed so cheezily.

Seems like the name may be more important to some than what it does or how it works.
