Ug, edit the title and add some SPACES

still a hair too long. maybe delete one more 'flicker' or add some spaces between words so left column can create 2 lines?

sorry guys about the font but it was the only way to get attention !
Sincere apologies to all.

Right.. when I want to open ANY aspect of Object Desktop - theme manager, windowblinds icon packager, skin editor and most of everything else,
all that happens is - the pages appear then they ALL start FLICKERING - even when I am not using OD ... my main start menu index even flickers...
I am willing to do a clean reinstall of everything if necessary but If I
have to do that I would appreciate some Precise directions on how to do this.
The stardock central page is doing it now . . .

This sounds like you have a problem with your graphics card driver.

1. Do you know what graphics card you have?

2. Have you tried installing the latest driver for your card?

Gforce 6200agp8x and the latest drivers- downloaded this morning (11.45pm uk now)

... I await your solutions with an ever-increasing baited breath . . as I am now losing confidence with Object Desktop - I really like this prog , but I am beginning to feel that the whole programme is being sold as TAINTED GOODS - and I'm sure that it isn't - Wakey wakey ! I'm sort of getting desperate for a cure.... !

If things are flickering then something is causing near constant repaints.  Given that it is happening with such a variety of apps, it seems unlikely to be being caused by OD itself.  Especially when you say your startmenu does it when OD is not even running.

What other apps are you running?

A shot in the dark...I saw this prolem awhile back on a friends PC. His video card was not seated properly. Just throwing it out in case you had installed the card yourself. You might check it.

Sounds like the graphic card power molex is loose/unplugged or the power supply is under specs.

I ONLY run Desktop Sidebar - nothing else . . as for the graphic card not being seated , i will have to get back to you , as I am disabled, I have to get my PC doc in to check this out , also the power supply . . BTW I have been using
Desktop Sidebar long before I installed Object Desktop and never had any probs. . Neil . .thanks for your reply- Night Train and yraq thanx, too . .now 5 am uk time so logging off for now . . I will get back to you shortly . .
thanx - lots of them !
