Windowsblinds is hosed

OK, I'm about fed up with this. I tried to install WB5 and of course it didn't work. The installation crashes every time. I've tried uninstalling, deleting, rebooting in various combinations to no avail. I gave up and tried to get WB4 working again, and it does not. It crashes after reboot following installation. It doesn't allow me to do anything at all. WHAT IS THE RESOLUTION? Thanks
