DirectSkin: toolbar background incorrect

Hi,
Using DirectSkin (with VB6 programs) with a number of skins the top pixels of a toolbar remain transparent. Sometimes minimizing the window and then maximizing again helps, but not always.
Does anybody know what causes the problem? Is it an imperfection in these skins (if so how to solve it) or something else?
