Why is SkinStudio excluded from skinning?

SS seems to get more and more out of sync (buttons drop out of sight, app won't shrink to sizable state, maximized state puts right side of window off the screen or up under the top or both) as I work with successive skins. Windowblinds came downloaded with SS excluded from skinning. I was thinking that it couldn't be much worse and maybe a little better if I let it be skinned. Anyone know 1.Why it is excluded 2. What language it is written in 3. Why its menu bars act completely different from other apps?
TIA

SKS was developed in Delphi which has some minor issues with skinning, though it is skinning more or less OK on my rig - not excluded by default here.

I think the reasoning behind it is that if you have a skin which is causing problems, then if Sks is left unskinned, you can edit and test the skin without Sks crashing and preventing you from working on it.

SS excluded from skinning

I think that's a beautiful thing myself, for the same reasons Hippy stated. I also find SS easier to work with when it is unskinned.

hmmm, mine didn't come excluded

I'm also getting a short cascade of access violations when I close the current version of SKS with more than one skin open for editing. I don't think that has anything to do with whether it is skinned or not, however.

even excluded SS looks skind on my rig...

the off the right side has been like that forever and i just work around it by opening and closing the left side but then the zoom quits working, just figured they where a nesasary evil of an otherwize great program.

maybe some day it will get fixed, maybe not...
