WB5 - MS XP PowerToys MSVDM Background Image Conflict

Just upgraded to WB5 from 4.60 and it seems that the Virtual Desktop Manager, MSVDM (available at http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx) is no longer able to manage the background images as it had in the previous release. It still remembers what they are supposed to be but cannot display them. Only thing that seems to work is setting the desktop background image and letting all 4 Virtual Environments use that one. If you try to manipulate them from within MSVDM it completely turns off the background image and reverts to a monotone color (that awful green). Also, if you try to drag the MSVDM settings dialog around the screen it erases the background image and leaves the monotone color fill.

For the moment I will down-rev back to 4.60 and wait for 5.x to come out because I sort of rely on the different background images to tell me which environment I am in at any given point in time...

I have been unable to reproduce this here.  The MSVDM works correctly and changes wallpapers when expected.

I would check that you don't have active desktop enabled by mistake as that can sometimes cause wallpaper problems.
