Yes, they are different. If you buy Object Desktop for 49.95 you will get both plus a bunch of other stuff, otherwise Windowblinds costs 19.95 and DesktopX costs 24.95. Check it all out here https://www.wincustomize.com/store/index.aspx
Scroll down a bit at that link.

It doesnt come with it, but since its also inside the objectDesktop suite of programs, the Windowblinds folder that you have is inside an objectDesktop folder.

Don't apologize-- it's confusing until you get used to all the different programs & names for everything.

You can create a WindowBlinds theme with Object Desktop, using the program called SkinStudio. Object Desktop is a good deal because you get several programs that work together to skin most features in Windows XP, plus programs that allow you to make WindowBlind and other programs for making icons. https://www.stardock.com/products/odnt/

DesktopX creates a different kind of desktop in which each part of the desktop is an object that can be configured to perform functions in your PC. DesktopX also can be used to make additional widgets and objects. https://www.stardock.com/products/desktopx/

The one that is best for you depends on your interests and on how you like to use your PC.

1st = look at this list: Link. Different programs for different things.

2nd = at the bottom of the list is a link to ObjectDesktop. If you click that link, then after the page loads - click 'Features' on the left, you'll go here: Link. Everything there is in Object Desktop. They all say download, demo, more info, etc., because you can get shareware or trial versions of the individual components.

3rd = Read some of these Tutorials: Link. This is the first one. There are more over on the right hand side of the page under 'Top Articles'. They will give you a basic idea of what the programs do and how you can have fun with them.

4th = decide if you want some of the other programs, then add up the cost of those and compare to the one price for all the ones listed in step 2.

5th = Have fun.

well, since you have WindowBlinds, you can go read Cordelias article first if you want.
