Your facts seem fairly accurate. But What is your point? Did someone u know have a stroke? If so, I'm sorry.

I don't think anyone is too sure of what is exactly going on with this post, enigma. Not too sure how to respond either. YOu have given clinical facts, but left out the real-time facts, if there are any. What's going on, enigma?

There may be someone here who had a stroke. I have not had one. Do you have to learn words again?

Your profile says that you live in Canada. What part of Canada do you live in?

I just looked on a map. You must get the Northern Lights. Do you see them often?

I just checked your profile, and God have mercy you are so young! Are you able to talk about it? Was it an anurism? It appears that you have done some research on the subject. Arming youself with knowledge can be very helful in the recovery process but be careful, keep in mind that no two stroke victims and thier recoveries are identical. A good frame of mind, perseverance, and a good strong support network are essential. My prayers are with you.

If you want somebody to email sometimes, you can write me at [email protected]

I'm in the Eastern time zone, so it's 3 hours later here than it is there.
Take care of yourself

My thoughts are with you, Enigma. I have a nephew who had a stroke at age 11....he is now 25 and leads a fairly active life with his wife and 3 children. Let's hope that youth is also on your side, that your recovery enables you to fulfill your hopes and dreams.

Enigma, I saw your Christmas wish and I want you to know I am praying for you.

Every time you write something to us here, you are taking another step in typing and talking.

My mom had a stroke, a very severe brain hemorrhage. Recovery is a long slow proccess. If your speech is limited, at least you can communicate with this community on your computer.

I would certainly understand if you went through a lot of anger over your condition, but I believe crissy gave you the best possible advice when she wrote that you should try to have a good frame of mind. Focus on your therapy and take joy in the things that you CAN do (like communicate with us at WC!)!

Best of luck to you, Enigma!
