WB5 skinning queries

some skins dont work the 1st time

Hey, just a query about some of the abilities of WB5,

Ive noticed that when certain windows like "My Documents and Task manager" etc.. dont always skin the first time, basically meaning it reverts to "Windows Classic". I have to maximize the windows and restore them again just to enable that skin or click on the window borders. Im using VistaXP by Kol.

Im running a very fast machine combining an X2 AMD & nvidia SLI setup, i have no doubt my system is capable, so i was just wondering if thats a bug you guys have come across in the past?

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure, at least I haven't read in any threads, if the "X2" (thinking you have a dual core?) is as yet compatible; considering the 64bit is promised to be compatible in the final being released on Tues next week. Might this be the trouble? dual cores are 64 bit, right?

The answer is in your troubleshooting information.  The current WindowFX build is not compatible with WindowBlinds 5.  In this case its the window open animations that are the problem.

Thanks for the replies. Yes i did find that WInFX was the problem..

I thought my X2 Dual Core chip was the problem, phew!

Will future builds be able to counteract this problem? sorry but i just purchased stardock so im clueless!

But nevertheless, its an awesome tool and worth the money i paid for..

Now just waiting on the REAL Vista...
