 This weekend is the final round of the Aussie Supercars....600hp V8s that afford some of the closest racing ever seen in Touring Cars...think European touring cars, but with more grunt...or Nascars....that can turn left AND right....and even stop....

So I'll be gone till Sunday, US time....no idea what corner I'll be working....[whichever one, it's bound to rain]

If ya gonna party while I'm gone....I want pictures....;)

I'll post mine Sunday. I've got the Motor Trend Auto Show (New Car show at the Orange County Convention Center) on Friday and the Turkey Rod Run (Classic Car show at the Daytona International Speedway) on Saturday. Miles and miles of walking.........wife says I can't buy anything this year. She just might be upset. I'm looking for a 68-69-70 GTO at a good price. Car shows don't usually produce "good prices" unless your selling.

Well...got a little 'slack' and didn't take any piccies....probably due to the fact I was stationed at the 100 meter marker on the main straight where these guys would have been going for the anchors at around 280kph, with pit-exit just before us so speed differentials were anything up to 100mph.

Got sunburnt, though....

Glad to see Russell Ingall is no longer the bridesmaid, championship win was a long time coming. Ive enjoyed the season now that Team Kiwi is a little more competitive.

buzz....I think he's got a 'test drive' with some second level Nascar crowd....but likes himself enough to think he'll be the first non-US based driver to break into the big time.

I guess he doesn't remember the likes of Grice who bin there dun that...[a bit]...probably just too young...it was the 80's.

As for new seat-warmer...dunno....there's plenty who'd jump at the spot....
