9200 + drivers = sounds like a stardock problem

I tried the responses from alot of people saying they fixed the per pixel borders on a 9200 ATI, but honestly.. i don't think they fixed anything... using any version, any driver, i can get it to work at 1024x768.. whooptie doo..

has anyone been able to get per pixel borders working at 1600 x 1200. Is there anything that stardock could do to allow the user to force per pixel borders on at a higher resolution? Is there another 3rd party app that forces the settings on? Someone mentioned a microsoft driver that worked... honestly I don't think any of the previous soltions were actual solutions.. cause i think it still doesn't work at 1600x1200 on any previous persons info with a 9200, but i don't want to give up hope just yet... anyone able to help with this situation?

First of all remember it is a BETA release meant entirly for checking and testing. Hope that this problem will be solved in the final build which will be released on 29th of this moneth.

It is an ATI problem, not a Stardock problem.

The drivers report the cards capabilities to apps and in this case the ATI drivers are saying the card cannot do hardware acceleration for that feature.

The final straw for me, I bought an nVidia card after struggling with ATI. The control center didn't like WB and with the betas using alpha-blend, well that card just doesn't support this. There is nothing that Stardock can do to "fix" this, the card isn't compatible. The best thing to do is either use the older version of WB or go and spend $60 on a better card.http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/category/category_slc.asp?CatId=933&Nav=|c:318|&Sort=0&Recs=10

yah... thats fine if the card is not compatible.. but this card is compatible.. and has worked at resolutions up to 1280x1024 (according to another forum post). i understand things not working at all.. but this works at a certain resolution and lower, then it should work at all resoltions... there is something that is flagging it as not working, res too big, not enough ram, etc.. but regardless.. there should be a way for windowblinds to FORCE itself on so that it works even at slow performance... have a box pop up that says "by using this feature you are subject to slower performance" etc.

The ATI control centre should work with WB.  It uses Stardock DirectSkin for the skin!

Yes, it does, but for reasons unknown to me, it worked better for ME when I uninstalled the control center.

It does on mine, without problems, at any resolution selected.
