ThemeManager doesn't apply WB's

but will everything else

Since using the WB 5 beta, ThemeManager will apply all aspects of a suite except the WB. When all these components have been applied, I get the new blind installed tooltip, but clicking on that results in the default classic being applied instead of the relevant blind. I am currently running the latest updates, WB 4.96b[b].002 and TM 2.24.040, I've uninstalled and reinstalled TM twice but to no avail......ideas, please.

Older versions of ThemeManager are not compatible with WindowBlinds 5.

Okay, will there at some stage be a compatible TM?

Now I'm confused (not that it takes much these days), but I've just come from SDC and it confirms that I have the latest ThemeManager, not an older version If someone could clarify the situation for me I'd be most appreciative.

Okay, here is what I had to do to get a suite applied:

1. I "applied" suite, in this case "AlienMorph".
2. When the balloon came up in my system tray, I clicked it...all hell breaks loose on my desktop, corruption everywhere, windows explorer gives me an error report, dr watson gives me an error report.
3. CTRL+ALT+delete
4. Clicked on "processes"
5. Highlighted "explorer.exe"
6. Clicked on "end process"
7. Confirmation window...clicked "yes, I am sure I want to close this"
8. Press ALT+F, File drop box...
9. Clicked on "new task.."
10. Typed "explorer.exe"
11. hit enter.
12. Double-clicked WBConfig in system tray...
13. Had Classic applied...chose "AlienMorph" and "apply this skin"
all portions of the suite are applied. Don't know what the heck exlporer and dr.watson had to do with all this, but it worked this way. I hope one of the developers reads this.

Sorry about the delay here... been a little preoccupied elsewhere. Not 100% sure, but I think the OEM version came with the Alienware themes, and it would appear that you have the most recent. I also get those error messages and 'classic' when clicking the tooltip after TM stops responding, and found applying the blind per WBconfig achieved the desired result. Hopefully there'll be a fix for this soon.

oops, sorry about the triple.

Actually, I counted 7.....including the oops....and I'm wondering if you've been heavily influenced by commercial TV...with repeat, after repeat, after repeat
Sorry scorpio logic....just couldn't resist.

I was having the same problem with the Darkstar of the set, but only could get it to apply with SkinStudio. WindowBlinds still doesn't show it. When I went through SkinStudio, it popped up a message saying some elements where obsolete & others would be soon. And it asked if I wanted it to fix the skin, which I said yes. The others in the set probably also have the same problems.

I'm keeping my chin up....tho I'm not sure if it's positivity or that it can't drop for the triple chin resting on my neck.

Yeah, things are looking up and will be back to normal fairly soon, thanks for asking

As for ThemeManager, well it looks like I'll have to wait a while for a WB5 compatible update. Not to worry though, I can still achieve what I want, it's just a couple of extra mouse clicks, and I'll forward the therapy bills for mouse wrist to Stardock
