Closing Object in new version

Snowflakes are being a bother!

I just upgraded my DesktopX, and there seems to be a small problem. I loaded the snowflakes, but they are starting to lag some of my games. There seems to be no way to shut them off without retarting a new theme. Please, any suggestions?

I would recommend to just quickly unload DesktopX before you run a game, especially if the snowflakes are the only thing you are running (rigth-click on sytem tray > unload DesktopX). Having a heap of animated objects on your desktop will always slow your system down.

However, if you have the full version of DesktopX, you could also try and remove some of the snowflakes. You can do that by changing into the DesktopXBuilder > right click on the systemtray and choose 'List Objects'. In the list that will pop-up right click on a flake and choose 'delete object). Close the list and save the desktop-theme. It migth also be possible to make the flakes fall slower by editing the script (List Objects > right-click on flake and choose 'Properties' > click on 'Edit' in the script box). I have to admit though that I haven't tried that one.
