Finding Happiness in 75% off Candy Corn

Candy corn is one of the best things that comes out of Halloween...I love it...well, at least for the most part (after so many pieces, I do get a mild sugar overdose). :p To my surprise, I had trouble finding it this season. Spooky eye gumballs, Halloween snickers and M&Ms, Crazy flavor Blow Pops...yes, all those were aplenty and all over...but my nice little cone shaped candy corns, no...

Well, as I hung around Walgreens after dropping off a prescription, I stopped at the Halloween clearance corner...and amid plastic skeletons, pumpkin garland, and fake blood, I found...voila!...bags of Brachs Candy Corn...I had a goofy smile on my face when I spotted it. And to make it all the "sweeter", I got it for under a buck! Of course, I merrily put it in my hand held basket and made my way to the cashier, looking forward to enjoying it when I got home.

What a silly thing to get happy about....but hey, this treat did the trick. =)

Unfortunately, I tend to enjoy the small pleasures a little bit too much...had to force myself to put the bag down before I finished the whole thing.

my son took me to the grocery store this afternoon cause I needed eggs and bread, and I've been
dissappointed cause I haven't found any candy corn this Halloween.

My son was on the lookout for candykisses, the taffy, peanutbutter type in orange and black wrappers.

Yippee, there was Brach's on sale for 99 cents! I'll get more on Friday if there's any left!

Oh my gosh I'm saddend to say that I forgot all about candy corn this year! That must be saying something about me being extremely busy lately, too. I LOVE candy corn! Now I am going to have to go shopping around for some leftovers on sale!! I agree with you that you can only have so much, though, before you start getting that way too sweet taste in your mouth!
