Just a simple question realy, how do you create a screenshot of your own desktop???

Simple..Use the PrintScrn/SysRq button on your key board. Its right next to the Scroll Lock button...........then paste it into you graphics program

if that doesn't work for (it doesn't for me...it fires up my printer), try shift+printscrn/sysrq then paste into your graphics program.

or, if you use object dock - go get the 'capture' docklet.

I don't think everyone has a proggy that you can, by default, hit that there button and bammo. You might need to download a screenshot capable proggy, Kevin. Here is a link to the free one I use, you have to let it run before screenshooting:

It's called "Windows" and that function's been around since at least Win 3.11 AFAIR.

Nowadays, the PrtScr button (Incl. CTRL+ and Shift+) takes a shot of the whole desktop, and Alt+PrtScr captures the current active window.
