GOD IS PUNISHING AMERICA

Christians are supposed to follow Christ. Christ said that we are to live by every word of God. That includes the Old Testament and New Testament. Christians today talk about Christ, but they reject His message. It would seem these days that most so-called Christians are biblical illiterates.

God's Word contains countless warnings about evil nations being destroyed in the end times. God is bringing disasters upon us--like the hurricanes--to get us to change our evil ways. The Bible is filled with warnings of God's wrath and fury at the time of the end.

It seems that the United States is rapidly becoming one of the most sinful nations in history. All the sins of Sodom and Gomorrah are increasing at an alarming rate in America today. The most vile sins imaginable are becoming mainstream. If God killed all the people of Sodom for their evil ways, then why would he not punish us as well? God is not about to remain silent!

God has always protected America. But he is not protecting us anymore. God himself is bringing more terror and destruction upon us than any Islamic terrorists could ever do. Why? Because we lead the world in evil--in every major pathology!

Actually, God was very merciful with hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma. America's oil production was only slightly damaged in these hurricanes. What if the oil rigs and refineries had been completely destroyed as some authorities expected to happen? Then America's economy would have collapsed and might never have recovered! It would have caused a total oil crisis in the United States and we all know how bad the oil crunch is even now.

America and the world are only one deadly hurricane away, one major terrorist attack away or a Middle East war away, from an energy Armageddon. In these hurricanes God extended mercy, giving us a chance to change our evil ways.

When we heed God's warning, God's wrath and anger will stop. But if we don't heed, Bible prophecy clearly outlines what our end will be. And that end will be more death and destruction than all the wars of history combined.

"Repent O Sons of David, for the wrath of Jehovah is apon you. Though your life is sanctioned by the blood of Christ, your wickedness is preventing you from the life eternal."

First, You need to GO BACK and study scripture before you start re-inventing it. God doesn't "bring" it, he ALLOWS it. Big difference.

I don't disagree that America is becoming Morally bankrupt. I agree God won't protect a nation who rejects Him. But He will be faithful to His own. I trust that, no matter the storm, no matter the war. I trust Him. I do believe not one single thing happens in my life or that of any believer that doesn't have to FIRST pass through the THRONE ROOM to get permission.

What I have to ask MYSELF first is why God allowed it. What is he wanting me to learn about our relationship...about myself....about a myriad of things.

DO you really think Katrina, say for example, is all about punishment? God never allows disaster without MANY benefits. What the world means for evil, God will use for the good of those who love Him. How many churches helped victims? How many people grew in their relationship with God when they didn't have a roof over their head, a dime in their pocket or water for their kids? And yet He provided?

So before you get all alarmist, maybe you should meditate and ask God what Katrina meant for YOUR life....then move on to the bigger picture. Because you may very well be right, God may be trying to get our attention.....but when He allows punishment, I don't think there will be any debate. It will be crystal clear, at least to believers.

Peace.

Didn't God cause the flood?

Didn't God cause the flood

Yes, and he caused the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.

I need to be more clear.....

I mean God doesn't "bring" little things like hurricanes. He created the earth to have them. He either protects us from them, or ALLOWS them to take their natural course hoping it may get our attention? maybe?

When God punishes and "BRINGS IT" if you will.....at least in all the instances I can think of....it is annihilation. Destroying a country, wiping out with the flood, destroying S and G.....when GOD DOES it, its bigger and more final. Big difference, at least to me. And no one stands around saying, "Hm, ya think God us trying to get our attention?" Mostly because he sends warning to His people before hand and lets them know itsa comin!
Having said all that, I am certainly no theologian....this is the answer I found while searching, and it may evolve as I come to know Him better...but right now this is where I am at.

And a plague of locusts too, but since then he has said no more.

If there is indeed a God, he / she must punch the closest angel when he hears shit like this coming from his followers.

I would hate to be that Angel.

It is always fun to watch religious fanatics argue over what God does / does not do.
If only we could get a Mormon, Jew and Muslim to join in the fight over interpretating GOd actions.

Can anyone get on that?

God I have no problem with whether there be one or not
I also have no problem if people choose to believe and follow.

What I hate the most is when people throw their belief to the wind say "it is the will of God" and we are just along for the ride in his sandbox while he whips up storms, earthquakes and floods to test our morals.

So not only is God in control of the universe, creating blackholes, moons, setting the right factors on earth here for life to continue, ect..
But now he also sits up there and makes judgement calls on nations and how they are acting?

It has to be the most inane and yet the safest argument to make. You throw the arg out there then hide behind the bible saying "see it says so". So because any natural disaster strikes the US we are bad, and the same for any other country. I heard this lame ass argument come up when the earthquake struck Pakistan killing 73,000 people. And the reason was... because they support America in it's killing ways.

You think you are so different from the terrorists, when they have this same stupid belief that nations are punished from God for the actions they do. The only difference is they happen to think themselves as an extension of Gods will to inflict the punishment.

This the example when people abandon rational thought and replace it with "the will of god" - Dangerous

Once again, a so-called atheist proves he is no such thing.

Most of you people need to get some perspective (to say the least). In ancient times, people weren't able to travel extensively, so to them, "the world" was only what they could see. Evidence shows that there was a flood in the Middle East.

No one knows the mind of GOD. But if you are Christian, and look at what Jesus said about helping the poor and how much of a problem a rich man would have getting into heaven, I would say the Bushies may have a problem.

This should be in the humor section - funniest thing I've read in awhile. You can always count on Marv to get a smile to crease your face.

I think Marv would have made an excellent clergyman in, say, Salem in the 1700's.

Cheers,

An ark sitting on Mt. Ararat is pretty good evidence too!

A more likely cause for the ferocity of the hurricanes is global warming which is currently being ignored by the world.

That is exactly my point Religious Fanatics take the easy way out relying on GOd to decide / control that they forget there are real issues with real life causes and effects.

It is always easier to Bury you head in the Sand than to actually step up and be part of life.
