WB5 background colour always black

Windowblinds 5 beta

I haven't figured out how to search on these forums, so not sure if this has been mentioned before.

On wb4.6 the following webpage displays fine with a greyish background, on wb5 the page background is black making the text unreadable.  The page http://www.servicecenter.unisys.com/resolver/scweblogin.jsp.

I suspect its using something from the current windows colour scheme palette so I've tried disabling "Apply skins color scheme" but its still the same.  If I select "Windows Classic" from the skins selection, the background colour returns, any skin and the background goes black.

Thanks for any help.  I've currently gone back to wb4.6.

Which version of WindowBlinds 5 Beta and which version of Windows (including service packs) are you running?

Do you have a screenshot illustrating your problem?  Is the only problem occuring when you view that website, or are you having other issues?

I've noticed that running certain effects options via your graphics card may conflict with WB5 and generate this black background on dropdowns and right click menus. Try disabling any effects options on your graphics card and see if that helps. I know this isn't a fix, but it can help avaoid the issue.

Thanks for the replies.

milksama: Was wb4.90d[b] on WindowsXP SP2.  How do I attach screenshots?  Does the webpage display ok on your WB5 beta?  I'll try again later with wb4.90g[b] and grab a screenshot.

Artifact85: What sort of effects, I have a laptop with ATI X300 graphics card.  As far as I'm aware I've not set any graphics effects.

You may upload screenshots to http://www.freewebspace.net/guide/diskstorage.shtml and reference in your post.  I have not noticed a problem running the webpage using WindowBlinds 4.90g[b].003.

Let us know if you're still experiencing problems on the latest release.

WB 4.95[b].007 was just released. Try that one out and see if you still experience the problem.

Either your links don't like me, or I don't like your links (they're not working)

If all else fails, you could add iexplore.exe to the "Per Application" list and exclude it from skinning.

Let me know the results. If you can get the screenshots working, I will forward them to the development team.

Just tried it, same problem, even with iexplore excluded from skinning.   Now switched back to XP Luna.  Can you email me (Nytr0x at yah00.com) then I can reply with the screenshots.   Thanks.
