WinCustomize is the site, and Stardock Central is the program which allows you to install software as well as being a multi-faceted browser.
It sounds like you are indicating that you are trying to download via the "Skins and Themes" or "Web Browser" category of Stardock Central.
If this is the case, there are a couple of things you can try:
1 - Due to the updating of files feature which is enabled by default for the Skins and Themes category, it may take some time for Stardock Central to load or unload during use of that category - which may result in a crash if you try to invoke a command too soon. I would suggest allowing the items to load in the preview area, and then use the context menu (right-click the item you want to download) > select "Download to folder" > select a folder on your computer > click OK, to complete the download.
2 - If you are using the Web Browser category, I would suggest using the "Right-click download link of item > select "All Files" in the "Save as type" drop-down list of the Save dialog > save to say My Documents to complete download.
