Nevermind, i got rid of it through the regedit command.

 --> HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\jpegfile\shell\SkinStudio

thanks anyways.

A couple things.

1) Run the ODNT Zapper and see if that will remove any residual items. https://www.stardock.com/odnt_zapper.exe
2) Reinstall SkinStudio, reboot, uninstall it, reboot

and see if that removes the program completely.

I wrote a .reg file that should remove the entries: here

Im having basically the same problem but I am not very technical.

All i want are my .msstyles files to show as 'example.msstyles' and NOT the filename without the extension (eg 'example') plus 'edit with SkinStudio'.

PLEASE help me.

EDIT: I have tried running the cleanup tool, and have reinstalled skinstudio and unistalled. Exactly the same problem.

To show the files with extensions, you would need to change a setting within Windows.

Open any folder, press Alt+T, go to Folder Options, then the View tab. From here, just uncheck where it says Hide extensions for known file types.
