Spyware?

Hi,

I am thinking about purchasing WindowsBlinds to install themes. However, I was told to be careful because a lot of theme programs contain spyware or adware. Does anyone know if WindowsBlinds installs either spyware or adware?

Thanks!

I've been using WB for about 4 years, it has no adware or spyware.

2 yrs = no spyware,adware

widgets and possibly docklets may cause a 'malicious script' warning if you use Norton but the scripts are not malicious - Norton tends to call all scripts malicious.

No spyware or adware included in Stardock products.

The information you heard may have been referring to StyleXP theme downloads, which are not offered on this site.

As Corky O said, there are other sites that bundle spyware with themes. Be very careful where you download skins from. Wincustomize is 100 % safe. So is Skinartistry.

I've been using WindowBlinds since 1998....... it's quite safe, as are all Stardock apps.

Didn't the site use to have one of "No Spyware/Adware/Malware" certification things on the home page? Or was that the old site?

it was down near the bottom - maybe it was the old site
