What are and how does one use screenshots?

Just getting into this whole area of computers and I see a section on wincustumize website about screen shots. Any info would help a great deal. Thank you in advance.

Screenshots are basically people showing their desktop that they have compiled. They are somewhat useful in that others can compile their own desktop from them. If you see something you like , go get the components......
