As many already know, last week WinCustomize admins were not able to access the uploaded files for acceptance.
Due to this issue the contest has been extended another week. Instead of ending Oct 14 it will now end Oct 21

I try to remain neutral or rather reserved on comments regarding any particular author during the contests but I must agree that JJ is showing his great talent on this contest as he did on the past contest.
And I also agree with you CW. Just as the surprise 1st place winning late entry by 4tuner on the last contest, there is stil plenty of time left for authors to upload and win any of the prizes.

of all the luck... somehow, after i ran a spyware scan from Ad-Aware, and deleted a few objects, my computer is totally messed up, its in the shop right now.. hopefully i can get it back before the contest ends and make a late entry....

Thank you all for your kind comments and great support! After the 7-day National days holidays, now I'm at university again... So I have to put off the release of Azenis for WMP And also I'm considering is it sensible for me to make a DesktopX theme, I have little time and I'm totally new to the desktop widgets making.....

At last my skin is ready...will be launching tomorrow though...due to bandwidhth limitations i can't upload from my place,so i have to go to library...that's the case till i install DSL.Well that is just how life works.

I have a question... someone recently asked if i could release my iconpackage in .png files. Is it alright if I upload my contest submission here at wincustomize in .png format, or do I have to wait until the end of the contest? Just making sure i don't break any rules.

I think contest rules are only for the skins uploaded as Contest Entries. If you upload something else (even a different edition of your skin) during contest period i don't think it would affect anything...but that is up to the organisers to decide. Just my personal opinion here...

Nope far from over yet...there are plenty well known skinners out there...my guess some interesting tunr-overs are due in WB's section...there are plenty of talented people out there and some of them are propably working on themes and skins as we speak...

I would perfer if you wait until the end of the contest to release any variation of your skin/theme.

You mean the icons packs two days ago? right.


Yeah I mean exactly those 2 icon packs. But more important Igspencer, if the contest was to be over right now, would it matter to you? and if it did, in what way would it?
