I love Christmas. This year I will have Christmas in January. It's a scheduling thing.

Its getting earlier and earlier each year. Soon they won't have to take them down.

I love Christmas, too, but not the annual expansion of the commercialization process.

I adore the Christmas season, it is an incredible time for me... The promise (fulfilled) and hope (restored) and also was my Dad's birthday (Christmas eve) the season just seems to set things right, always has, for me!
People are nicer(mostly) and the entire atmosphere changes.
I don't get too caught up in the commercial side of it, because that has nothing to do it..
I usually have all my kids home, all the grown ones even and we spend a lot of time together, except this year I think I would love to go away for the holidays, maybe south.......
"No I know I would love to do that"! Probably wishful thinking....

AARGF! Yea! I dropped by WAitrose today and saw some Christmas stuff. I got so pissed off. I mean , it's freaking September allready! Sure, it's Christmas only once a year, but it sure seems like it last for most of it as well.... *grumble*

I like Thanksgiving.

I get to spend time with family, eat great food, (watch football!), and nobody has to buy presents for anyone else!

YEa, I'm not bothered about presents any more. I mean, we usually buy what we want instanly anyways these days. I'm loving the christmas for the all the good food and time to be with friends and family. I can do without all the rest.

Nothing in the stores here yet on the Christmas theme but lots out for Halloween. Won't be long after that for the decorations to come out.

Some places here in Tasmania had Chrissy stuff out a month ago....and some in Oz say we're behind the times down here?

To my wife and I, Christmas is more about spending quality time with our family members and closest friends, so that is what we concentrate mostly on, avoiding the commercial trappings and the spending spree we can ill afford. To share a special meal and exchange a few inexpensive gifts between us all is quite enough and most satisfying.

I swear every year they put that junk out earlier and earlier.... its not even halloween yet.... whats next year round... we had a store in Hampton Roads that did that but that was all they sold so I guess maybe that was alright.
