Mac N Cheese

Mac N Cheese

I just noticed that my box of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese expires 4/18/2006. What a joke. It doesn't last a week at my place. I do believe this is the most perfect food ever invented. Add some garlic, onion, red pepper and black pepper and it's even better. It's the cheesiest!!!

47 Songs,
There's just nothing like that powdered cheese flavor. Seriously, it's special!

This is watching "Dumb and Dumber". This is eating cotton candy until your face is sticky. This is an adult playing playstation. This is good tasting, childlike, who cares, type of splurging. I know you understand.

You bet your sweet bippy I do!

My kids were raised on Kraft Mac and Cheese (the powder! aimzee!)! And Spagettios (SP? I'd like to hit Jafo already!)!

And now of course, I can't get them to change! As much as I try! But this Annie's stuff is real yummy! And it's the real deal!

Guilty pleasures? You mean like "The Ramones?"

Yeah, I've got my list, too!

This is not about eating good stuff. I eat healthy 90% of the time and cheese is part of that. It actually has weight loss properties. This is about pure unadulterated hedonism. This is the same as White Castle at midnight. This is the same as a Blizzard after a tough day at work. This is about throwing as much butter as you like in there. ...and, this is about the powdered cheese. The flavor has no equal. I will often cook some whole wheat noodles and just add olive oil, sauteed garlic and parmesan. But this is not that. This is watching "Dumb and Dumber". So much passion about food! It's great, I love it.
Food should always be enjoyed this way!!!!

I use 1/2 stick of butter and could not do without the milk. Are you lactose intolerant?

Not at all, Sleeping Dragon!! It just takes away from the cheese flavor!!

This is the second time for this line above, in this thread (47Songs) was first... " Rowan and Martins Laughin" I believe Dick Martin is the one who coined this phrase...I haven't heard it used again, till now..and twice, to boot!!!

W|E's "Mac in a minute" (or five)

1 box Mac cheese deluxe: cook in normal manner.

2 rashers of finely sliced prosciutto.
a handful of mild olives, chopped.
half a dozen cherry tomato's, quartered.
a handful of uncooked field mushrooms, chopped.
half a brown onion, sweated (cooked till almost translucent).
small bunch of parsely, finely chopped.

Combine all the above with the mac cheese, and add a little sweet chili sauce (1-2 tbsp).

Dunno why this quote was the first thought in my mind when I saw the topic:

<Hippy> I had a Mac and Cheese earlier. Still picking bits of Hard Drive from my teeth
