Mac N Cheese

I just noticed that my box of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese expires 4/18/2006. What a joke. It doesn't last a week at my place. I do believe this is the most perfect food ever invented. Add some garlic, onion, red pepper and black pepper and it's even better. It's the cheesiest!!!

You forgot the best of it all - a little touch of olive-oil.

I add tuna, pepper, garlic, green beans, and orange pepper. Gotta love that broke food!

If you're adding orange pepper, you're not broke. I love the taste of it. Next time, Orange pepper and olive oil.

are you talkin' the basic or the deluxe? I like the cheaper one, with a few additions

Wow, I never thought I find an entire thread of other people that love the Mac & Cheese... I love the original Kraft Mac & Cheese, no shapes, no creamy cheese, just noodles and powdered cheese thank you very much!

It even worked during the time we were laying low from Rita!!

Original is the best...but I forgo the milk!!!

but I forgo the milk

I use 1/2 stick of butter and could not do without the milk. Are you lactose intolerant?

I'm with you, TBC-- I haven't been able to do milk since a camping trip in the Gila Wilderness. Further detail would be too much information...

I could make mac & cheese, everyday and it would be gone by everynight.
I do make "Kraft" the only kind 2 of my sons will eat!

Need to try the orange pepper, I almost always use onion and lot of garlic and I drizzle the olive oil or flavored oil (lightly) after it is served...

I do know people can be passionate about the food they love!!!!!

SD....you gotta stop posting these food threads. Your killing me.

Kraft Mac&Cheese is the only thing I ever learned how to cook that you don't throw on the grill. I take mine with two big scoops of butter & a splash of milk. Or should I say used to. It's one of those items that doesn't get on the daibetes diet very often. My wife does a great version where she would add onions, real "block" cheddar and one of those curdy looking cheeses that I can't rmember the name of. About a full days calories per serving. Now you made me hungry....I'll have to get some of that twigs and bark stuff she buys me for snacks.

I like to add chunks of smoked sausage into Mac & Cheese, adds a great flavor.

chunks of smoked sausage

I'm down with that.

Lantec, your wife must be one helluva wife to prepare the good stuff for you

Today when I posted, I was making it. This time it was just milk, black pepper and butter, and I added parmesian cheese and a red pepper paste to give it some zing. No onions or garlic today. I need to get to the store and get some orange peppers, smoked sausage, some curdy cheese and more garlic. I already have LOTS of olive oil.

I think she's got her eye on that life insurance policy.

Donna, Donna, Donna, Donna. I love cheese. I love swiss, cheddar, brie, bleu, parmasan, colby, jack, jalapeno, mozzarella (although I may have spelled them all wrong), and even american.

This is not about eating good stuff. I eat healthy 90% of the time and cheese is part of that. It actually has weight loss properties. This is about pure unadulterated hedonism. This is the same as White Castle at midnight. This is the same as a Blizzard after a tough day at work. This is about throwing as much butter as you like in there. ...and, this is about the powdered cheese. The flavor has no equal. I will often cook some whole wheat noodles and just add olive oil, sauteed garlic and parmesan. But this is not that. This is watching "Dumb and Dumber". This is eating cotton candy until your face is sticky. This is an adult playing playstation. This is good tasting, childlike, who cares, type of splurging. I know you understand.

I saved your link and will investigate that completely different type of food group. This one is in a group by itself.

Seriosly, thanks for the link. It looks great.
