Running Applications don't change

Hello,
I am using the free version of Object Dock. I am really enjoying it, albeit one problem. When I try to change running applications, the selected application opens and as my mouse leaves the dock the selected application minimizes and returns to the existing open application or window. Is this default behavior? All I would like to do is use the ObjectDock like my taskbar to select applications?

No that's not default behavior as far as I can tell. I can switch back and forth between apps. Free dock also.

if you right click the application icon on OD - and choose dock entry propertis - what is selected under 'run' down on the left?

I right clicked the icon, and chose dock entry properties. I don't see "run" down on the left. I see Title: and it says Dock settings and below that Command: and there is a drop down menu that has "Configure this dock" selected?

Any ideas?

That sounds like a right click on the configure dock icon. right click the icon that opens a program.

I run the dock on startup so I went and right click the app there is no run on properties. I created a shortcut and there is run there and it says Normal window. Am I still missing it?

no. that sounds right.
when i have one app open, then open another - it opens on top of the one already open. none minimize unless i minimize them.

In configure OD, dock contents tab, what do you have checked?

I think I got it to work. I put use normal z-ordering under position on screen menu. thanks so much for your help
