Which are you? Active more at night, or in the day?

Definitely a day person. If the sun's up so am I, regardless of the time I went to bed.

Judging by some of the thread times I've seen you post at SD, I'd guess your a night owl.

The problem is, I'm both. Once in a while I need 6 hours sleep to catch up.

There's a difference between day and night?

Both, sometimes I stay up all day and night! But after staying up for 3 days and nights it eventually gets to me and I gotta sleep at least 4 hours! Even when I worked 3-4 hours of sleep a night!

I didn't know "diurnal" was a word. I learn something new everyday and night!!! LOL

Something in between. I get up late and get to bed late...

Not sure...I'd have to peel the duct tape off my windows to find out.

Actually, I work rotating shifts (days, swing, and graveyard)...I feel like kaka when I have to get up at 5 am for the day shifts, and work best late at night...so I guess I'm one of the nocturnal creatures.

Nocturnal. But my job is during regular office hours, so I'm barely conscious while working.

I'm barely conscious

I can actually get a lot done, barely awake! I amaze myself.

Hey i'm an all day-night one! Don't sleep much, been trying to need less and less sleep-time so that i can do more things in life. On average i sleep 3-4 hours every day! Except sometimes when i stay up all night. But for some reason there are days that i'm just so tired that i fall into somekind of hibernation! Once i slept for almost 26 hours straigh!

Definitely a diurnal. Sleep is the only time i give myself a break from the everyday pressure. Besides i love sleeping. 8 hours at the most!

Mostly nocturnal ...I hate mornings! Though I do have to work alternating shifts in my job managing a backpacker's lodge.

People who know me well, know not to talk to me until I've had a good cup of strong coffee ~as I'm likely to shoot first and ask questions later.

Besides, during the day ...there's all that "light" to deal with!

Nocturnal during my "party" years.

Diurnal before party years, and since about 1990....

Waking up at 3:15 am to shower, shave, breakfast before work sometimes feels like nights, though.

Nocturnal-- made worse by moving back to Eastern time after years on Mtn & Pacific. The jet lag has gone on for 2-3 years now

Not a morning person, at all! That tends to be difficult (at times) since I don't drink coffee, I don't like the way it taste, I do love the aroma!!!!

I wish I was a morning person...Not sure at this stage in my life, if that is changeable!

Ms. Blindbatty, i think most cats and catlovers alike are dormant at daytime.

I know my cats are......
They sleep most of thier life away, seems like a waste.

But they are so loving and wonderful and I always want to know what my kitty is thinking, when she is looking straight at me!

She looks at me, squints her eys and purrs all over me and for that moment, there is nothing else.....
