wireless !!!

it's silly, i know...but i live in a very remote place, and finally today, i went wireless !!!!! wow....not to be attached to any cables, yet to be attached to the world.....it puts a big big smile on my face.... .....i love technology and i love everything it can bring to you.....computers have changed the way we live, and only for the better...

Wireless is great - but make sure you are secure. I can currently see several other networks nearby and could access them if I wished

Ass the fuzzy man said. Secure it. We had our unsecure for a short period to sort out some network problems. Wee soon discovered more computers on the network. Probably from the other Unsecure network I get up on the list. One of my housemates didn't know that the other one wasn't ours and she was connected to them as well. Suppose it was a two-way street. Another friend of mine can get free internett access if he position the laptop at one of his windows.

any recommendations for securing it? ...i'm not sure if it's too important, as i think i've the only computer within five miles or so, but better, i'm sure, to get into good habits from the beginning...

any idea when they are gong to introduce wireless power ??

Wireless powersupply, now THAT's something! It'd be amazing to get rid of all them pesky cables. I swear, one time they are all gonna rebel and strangle us all to death!
