You're a Racist

Y'all know why this is here.

I don't know where to start. You're a racist. And a coward. And an attention-whore. You're that asshole little kid who hits people just so the teacher will turn around to look at her.

I guess there is a level of comfort to be had from the fact that you admitted that your words were nothing more than ill-willed rhetoric spewed from a rambling madwoman. I can only hope you've fried your brain to such an extent that you can no longer put together rational thoughts. This isn't true, though. I know why you do it.

You do it because it's what you worked so hard to become, and you can't stand the thought of losing it. So you wake up in the morning and you start looking at news coverage of the hurricane. You look past the people helping people, black helping white and white helping black. That's not important. You look past the grief, the white people who've lost family members to raging currents and the black people who haven't seen their loved ones since their houses were ripped in two. That doesn't matter.

And then you see it. Looting. Your eyes grow wide. And even better: Black people looting. Your insides jump for joy. You found it. This is "controversial." This is "politically incorrect." This allows you to keep that persona you've worked so hard to maintain, this lets you be some distorted version of a heroic rebel, forever fighting against the shackles of a PC world. You should wear a cape.

So you say your piece, and then you sit back and wait for everyone to pat you on the back for "saying what everyone else is afraid to." We're not afraid to; we're too intelligent to. We pause for two seconds to think before we open our mouths. We don't call on the KKK to come solve our problems.

It's pathetic how you can look at tragedy and see nothing but color.

You ask questions with one answer and pretend you've given us a choice. Asking someone to justify black people looting is like me asking you to justify white school shooters or white serial killers. You can't, but not because I threw race in there. You can't because you can't justify murder or looting, regardless of who does it. You'll say that you've seen more black people looting than white people. That's fine. But until I see the certificate declaring you God, and annointing you with the power of omniscience, what you see remains what you (an angry, needy, attention-craving egotist) sees.

I've seen a lot of white CEO's screw a lot of people out of a lot of money. I've seen a lot of white serial killers kill a lot of people. Justify that. Why do white people steal? Why do white people kill? And don't try to come here telling me other races do it too...I haven't seen them, so they don't exist.

It's amazing that with all your focus on color, you completely miss the fact that everyone in Louisiana bleeds red and cries clear. Your vision's a little limited, I guess.

The very phrasing of your question suggests its racist undertones, and the racist answer that you seek. Why do black people loot? How about "Why do people loot?" Forget it, you don't care about that. You only care about why black people loot. Fine. Since you care about that, that means you think there's some sort of difference between black people and other people. And you already discounted all social, economic, and environmental explanations. So that means, you think there is some fundamental, inborn difference between races that explains why black people loot while all others sit atop the chapel, reading the Bible and praying to the Almighty to end the deluge. So there must be something about black people that makes them loot, which is bad. Consequently, black people must be inferior to all of the other non-looting races, right?

It's pathetic how you use tragedy to try to soothe your wounded racial egotism.

By the way, I noticed that you refrained from answering the very question that you posed. That's where the word coward comes in. If you're going to be politically incorrect, have the guts to put yourself out there. So far, you've just poured the blood in the water and watched the sharks feed. Jump in, coward. Tell me: Why do black people loot?

It's sad how you have to constantly piss yourself off to be happy. It's pathetic that out of all the good that's happened in New Orleans, out of all the aid and help and cooperation, the only thing you can manage to see through your blinders is the means to foster conflict. Don't you bitch at liberals every day for refusing to see the progress in Iraq, for constantly setting sights exclusively on the loss of life and the death of soldiers and the failures of the administration? What the fuck are you doing?

You're writing about how black people are the only ones looting. You're fostering an environment that would say "Fuck the black victims of the hurricane, the ones that lost their homes and families and sit side by side with the white refugees, because if they had the chance, they'd be out there looting too." You're saying "We don't need to help those black people, those damn future-looters. We should concentrate on the white people, the race that knows it's wrong to loot."

Fuck you.

You're a hypocritical, cowardly, egotistical racist.

I can't IMAGINE who your talking about...

Oh and as I explained in another thread as to why all those looters are black... the hardest hit areas where mostly black, we do not have the luxury of having generations of education, wealth and a nuclear family of 2 parents.

So you do have a dis-proportionaite amount of black people who just don't think first, they act first.

Its not an excuse. Its still wrong. But that is the answer.

Now tell me why whenever their is a corporate scandal, millions unaccounted for, and employee abuse that most the people doing it are white?

Instead of making things black and white and having knee jerk reactions, maybe we should just ask why do people do this instead of why are they a specific color.

Philo, Put an adult warning on your article.

Very good, and I hope you feel better.  I am sorry you were subjected to it.

A very powerfull condemnation philo. Not real sure it's on the money though, but you feel what you feel and I defend your right to express it.

My weakness is my vague nature...

Bravo and very well said!

Thank you.

Of course we should. But that's not controversial.

Philo, Put an adult warning on your article.

Trying, but I can no longer find the "edit" tab on the bottom of my articles...do you know where I find those?

Thanks, but there is no feeling better. There's fighting and hoping you can change people's minds. You don't ever feel good about the fact that you have to write stuff like this.

If you closed the window where you created it, try going to your My Articles tab.  If the window is still open where you created it, go back to the point where you had hit the Submit buttono.  The edit is almost always on that page.

Amen, Philo! This constant need to create chaos at others' expense is sick. Very, very sick. And, this constant need to have people pat her on the back for her sick bull is even sicker. Totally psychotic. Worse even than her racism.

I've endured some of her rantings, but mostly after the first few lines I get bored, so I move on. I am amazed she has such loyal followers. Her writing seems over caffeinated, wants to be more educated than she is, blabberings of a bored house wife. I don't really care how "hard" her life was/is/will be....she certainly doesn't seem any wiser for it.

HAHAHHA, closetograd, you're right on the money.  Pain and suffering should only be praise worthy if there is lesson learned.

Her "followers" often baffled me, too.  They seem to be intelligent folks.

Philomedy, I liked this.  You could have a little more credibility without the sware words, but you effectively got your point across (which just so happened to be a point I agree with), and I applaud you for it.

Philo, Put an adult warning on your article.

Screw that. The original article didn't have an adult warning.

I started to write something along these lines myself, but I've been thrown into the breach once too many times with almost zip for public support, just some little furtive e-mails (I like you but but but but I can't say nuffink). So I'll give you a shout out here.

When an attention junky needs a few points, the race issue is one of the best cards to play. Especially if you espouse an toothless backwoods redneck kind of a view better suited to 1805 than 2005. Anybody offering reasons why to your argument is just a jackass liberal, because we all know that liberals have never been right, not once, forever, amen.

I'll give her credit, she somehow convinces gay people to love her even though she calls them sickos and somehow convinces others she's their loyal friend when she rips them up behind their backs (even in my limited off-JU correspondence with her). She's not really smart enough to be a wolf in sheep's clothing, she's more of a sheep with rabies -- still dumb, but mad enough to infect the healthy population around her.

Cheers.

Ouch!!!! My thoughts, exactly, but I never had the guts to say it. All I did was sit back and wonder. One of those "things that make you go hmmmmmmm" things.

Excellent article, Philomedy, and this is a great point dabe.

I assume this is the end of the days of condemning me for saying F*ck You A**H*le. Now maybe you understand the kind of frustration that led to my outburst. I bet you'd take your lumps for this one, too.

I don't completely agree with you on this, but I respect your frustration.

Gotcha! That was not Dabe's point.

You owe me a freebee on the spelling now!

To what point are you referring to, guy, that you think that furry canary was referring to?

THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU.

You said everything I wanted to say, plus more! And for that, I love you!!

Sorry people, Dr. Guy is right. It wasn't dabe's point, it was Myrrander's. Whatever, it's an excellent point whoever made it.
Consequently, Dr. Guy, I would love to do as you suggest and grant you a freebie on your spelling, but as you wrote 'freebee' you've already used it up!

And now I'll pimp my own article here muahahahahaha

"Why are All These Politician Looters WHITE?"

But I gotta say, that's a pretty valid point, Philo.

I don't really care for her pulling out the "hard life" excuse every time someone challenges her views on race...no matter what you say, she has to mention how she lives in the ghetto, so she's obviously the end-all be-all on the subject.

Philomedy, I liked this. You could have a little more credibility without the sware words, but you effectively got your point across (which just so happened to be a point I agree with), and I applaud you for it.

I thought long and hard about swearing in this article. I have a great streak going of not swearing at anyone in what I write. I thought of every possible way that I could say what I wanted to...and none expressed what I wanted to express better than the F word. Sorry to any and all who weren't expecting it.

Damn straight Philo. Damn Straight!

Thanx.

So I'll give you a shout out here.

Always appreciated...I wasn't expecting to get this much support here, especially since I didn't really see anyone disagree with the crap she wrote.

I'll give her credit, she somehow convinces gay people to love her even though she calls them sickos and somehow convinces others she's their loyal friend when she rips them up behind their backs

I don't know how she manages to do this either, but to me its beyond the point. Even if someone's your friend, and I'd say especially if someone's your friend, you smack them and tell them shut up when they're being stupid.

Excellent article, Philomedy

Thanx.

I'd say the racism is worse, cuz that can infect others...thanx for the kind words.

Thanx for not crucifying me, btw...If you want to, go ahead I have no defense.

Everything I said, every name I called, I explained in the article. I respect your disagreement as you respect my expression, but I'd like to say that I stand beside everything I wrote (with the exception of the swears). If you want to debate, I'm here.
