ObjectDock and DVD Fullscreen Problem

I have just recently started using ObjectDock, and whenever ObjectDock (I'm using Vs. 1.11) is running, and i want to watch a DVD on my PC, I'm having trouble with the graphics. When i go into fullscreen mode, there is no video, only sound. It works fine when i use the normal window mode. Even that seems to screw up, once in a while. Switchin back and forth between fullscreen and normal mode, sometimes causes the video to dissapear alltogether. I've tried all this switchin with ObjectDock turned off, and everything works fine. As soon as i turn it on, i get the errors...
I'm using the latest drivers for my ATI 9700 (Catalyst 5.8). I have even tried to go back to Catalyst 5.7, but doesnt fix anything.
Does anyone have a clue, what in ObjectDock might be causing this problem? Some setting?

Thanks for any help in advance,
hannes

P.S.: I've tried using several DVD-players, like Nero ShowTime, BlazeDVD, and the built in DVD-Player from MP10.

I have this exact same problem. I've tried installing ObjectDock on several machines and get the video issue every time. Any help would be welcome.

Thanks,
Kevan.

I believe you are both experiencing a resource conflict (perhaps the overlay).

The only solutions I know of are the following:

1 - Try setting ObjectDock to no magnification and z-order = alway on bottom.

2 - If you want to have magnification and the z-order at normal, or always on top - then your alternative would be to unload ObjectDock while watching DVD's.

Any DVD viewing is very demanding on both the front side bus, and the processor.

The introduction of dual core processors is an attempt to prevent these issues on future computers.

The only real fix is to turn off Object Dock while you watch a DVD.

The only media player I have found, which works properly in full screen mode with OD turned on, is VLC media player. It is free and can be found here: Link

In that kind of setup I think your limited to dragging the "Entries" into the order you want. I'm not aware of a method that would allow you to "sort" dock items.

I'd probably suggest resorting the customer directory and dragging onto a new dock while deleting the old one each time you add customers. Sounds like a major pain.

My method is to create a single entry to the directory and have it either display as a menu or bring up the directory window. It's not the same but you can sort the same way you do anywhere else (right click).

Try BlazeDVD, it supports all audio which in my books, is a good thing. Supports all output formats. The support is sitting on basic for me but the good thing is, it has live chat. It has an ok skin, nothing too gross to look at. Supports XP, 2000, 98 and ME. Also, the product isn't too pricy which is another good thing.
