Do you write?

Do you write?

...Meaning except E-Mails,skin's code, computer related writing...

Do you write? What you write? You write in a newspaper or magazine? You write articles? Do you write poems? You write short stories or long? Just out of curiosity do you use pens or you are a keyboard addict?

Have fun everybody.

Feel free to express any opinion on the subject of writing...even feel free to share something you wrote and find it really good.

This is dedicated to all my good friends in life, something i wrote just six, maybe seven months ago...

Shadows

Thank you so much. It is beautiful and beyond what I have been in to!!! You should keep writing. I think you have a real talent for it. And your list of poet favorites is quit impressive. It is obvious I am a long way from you when it comes to poetry!! I hate to admit it, but I wouldn't know if you spelled their names correct or not, as I have never heard of any of them. Thanks again.

why do you always hurt the one you love
the one you shouldn't hurt at all
Why do you pluck the perfect rose
and crush it till it's petals fall....

~I remember it as a song.....

You always hurt the one you love
The one you shouldnt hurt at all
You always take the sweetest rose
and crush it till the petals falls
If i broke your heart last night
its because I love you most of all.

I'm an academic, so I write all the time. I work on the intersection of logic and ethics. I scan all of my research (that doesn't start out electronic), then do all of the reading, highlighting, outlining, pre-writing, and composition on the computer (using Acrobat Pro, OneNote, and finally word). Then I create a pdf and submit. The only time I seem to use a pen and paper is if I feel like drawing a diagram of the argument--drawing connections and so forth--I used to do this a lot, and could never find a program that does it satisfactorily. Lately, I seem to work of of very detailed argument outlines (e.g., a 10 page outline for a 15 page paper).

One thing that I recently learned is that the quality of your composition will increase dramatically if you take the time to actually re-write at least a second draft. It's hard to do since there is already a typed copy staring at you, but it does allow for significant improvement.

I also write some poetry and am starting to look into writing children's literature.

Wow,mathematic thinking VS ethics philosophy, that is a very interesting clash of elements. Do you have a link to any of your work? I like this array of subjects as study material.Very intriguing.

I also write some poetry and am starting to look into writing children's literature.

After Harry Potter released there has been a sort of draught towards children's literature, but still i don't believe all people can write children stories,it's pretty hard, children are very difficult customers and rarely something draws their attention, especially books.

A Searching Of?
Shimmering In the darkest depths.
A candle of wisdom, with a flickering flame.
Vaguely,Burning away at the darkness. . .
Countless are the days that it burns.
Countless are the days of it's future.
It will always be there, burning away at the darkness.
this, will always be the task,
for all of "our" time,
Even though it hides in the darkness,
it will always give light.
It will always give light to the ignorance,
that it calls friend.
like a law of averages,
It must offset the most defiled darkness,
with the purest of light.
So, it shall embrace the darkness,
in order to balance existence.
It's wax is will be forever renewed,
by the power of it's need.
Offering hope to the unknowing.
Giving guidance to those that look,
in the middle of the darkness,
We,
the Searchers of wisdom and truth.
Shall always find it there.
The light at the end of the...

Yes, I'm very unhappy. I've never been any good at writing. It's something I truely dread if I'm suppose to have people mark and judge it. There's a reason why I have done Art and Craft -> Advertising and now finally BA Modelmaking at the Arts Institute at Bournenmouth. It's my final year and the only thing I'm worried about is this blasted essay.

Writting just comes natural,if you are able to speak good, you are able to write too. Of course repetition and experience are truly factors which improve writting skills. So just don't give up.

It's my final year and the only thing I'm worried about is this blasted essay.

Out of plain curiocity what is the subject?

written words can be forgotten
spoken words can be bring a chill
words of anger, oft misbegotten
words of love oft over spill
the words I pen, I pen for me
words I speak, spoke to all
words are words, from even thee
some from pride, before the fall

I have written
I have spoken
I have written what I spoke
I am done, done for now
But tonight, I tip a cow.
