121 people die in plane crash in Greece...a sad day for the whole nation.

You may all have seen this on your tv screens,but i'm from this small island that this tragic accident happened. 121 people were on-board the plane when it crushed and all died. 118 of them were from Cyprus and 25 of them were children,while at least 5 whole families were lost. I guess this kind of accident never really touches you until it hits home. My best friend lost his cousin and his cousin's wife,while another good friend and classmate of mine lost both her parents.This is a dark and sad day for the whole of the island.

If you please light a candle and say a little prayer for the innocent people who died in the planecrush.

Needless to say, with so many Greeks emigrating to Australia....one of the families killed was Australian...the two young children were born here.

Our thoughts go out to all their families.

i don't know what's wrong with these planes these days.... they just keep crashing to the ground....i think that they need to train pilots better in how to handle a plane...cause this summer....a lot of plane crashing have been goin' on.

by the way....its really sad that many people die like that....it even makes people not even want to travel in a plane again.

Though I cannot light any candles, I prayed for the victims, I hope, and I'm sure they're in a better place now.

It is very sad, and my heart goes out to everyone left behind. There seems to be alot of crashes lately. I think the whole industry is over due for new planes. I will light a candle and say a prayer. I am very sorry for everyones loss. God Bless.
