The sheer number of alternate add-on tracks and cars makes GTR addictive.....latest fun one is trying Formula Renault on the Indy Oval......that's a blast.....but I 'should' try them at Bathurst......probably just plain scary...

I said it before, and I'll say it again... I got to get this game.

That last image, for some reason, slowed down my browser... nd PC.

I do have too many things open through...

Anyone try out the Momo Steering Wheel/Pedal Setup? I'm trying to "steer" my son to the right brand and could use some input. Is there a system that can do double duty? I love Gran Tourismo(s), NFS(s) TOCA 2 on the PS2 and it would be great to have one that runs on the puter and PS2.
Looking forward to trying GTR with the nwe controller. Also looking to try TOCA Race Driver 2006 on PC when it comes out. It was scheduled for later this year but has been pushed back to February 2006. It's supposed to support 35 different forms of racing

My wheel/pedals are Logitech Wingman Formula GP ...weren't at all expensive....about $30 US ..... work quite OK....previous one was a Thrustmaster II....with 3 mad Race Officials giving it hell in 'Driver'...we actually seized it...the bearings heated up so much they froze....had to wait for it to cool down to be able to steer again....

Do you finish any of these races? I see you're (intentionally) in the air a lot.

Jafo, here's one I found earlier. Link

Looks a little over the top and a bit pricey. Besides, I'd like to try before I buy and the address is at least an 8 hour drive from here.

Here's one that you might be interested in. Link

SD...yes...sometimes I manage a lap without becoming one with the scenery...

Lantec....there are 'cockpits' available for immersive sim racing....one of the Aussie race-car builders makes them, carbon fibre and all....bit OTT, though....a steering wheel and pedals is all that's 'really' needed....

My son could never talk my wife into one of those anyway.
Morning SD!

If you don't mind shelling out a fair few bucks, the Logitech Driving Force Pro is highly regarded as one of the best steering wheels out there. Gran Turismo 4 actually has a dedicated config section in it specifically for that wheel, so it shows you how good it is.
It supports 900 degrees of lock, much like real cars, so the control you get is very precise.
If I recall it's actually USB, and works on the PS2 AND PC, so it might be what you're looking for.

Thanks Hippy, exactly what I'm looking for. Now to point my son in the right direction.

Hi SD, sorry I missed the response I had to get the lawn mowed, the truck washed, etc., etc., etc. I need a day off to recover from my day off.
