Screenshot of a capture in GTR....probably currently the best driving sim out there...and it's all about 'skinning', too...as that's an after-market car 'skin'...;)

Game skinning is an interesting adjunct to OS skinning.....I did a bit of it a few years ago....for GrandPrix 2 .....pretty primitive it was, too...;)

All the rest of the junk is mine....;)

The CPU is usually around 2%, the screenshot program is a hog.

Notice that Linux doesn't mean "ugly." Those widgets are running inside a program called SuperKaramba....

Notice the transparent "taskbar."

My Window theme is called "Plastik" and I also have shadows enabled.

Phantom Puppet: That wallpaper comes with the K desktop environment.

cariodon: The calendar is a docklet for AveDesk, called simply Horizontal Calendar. The weather widget is widescapeWeather, for use with Konfabulator.

In a word, yes. (Using DesktopX, it would be fairly easy to come up with a taskbar replacement that looked and worked like that.)

Try the Print Screen button and then paste into paint or PSP or Photoshop.
