Hi!

Since i upgraded to the latest OD i can't use my PowerDVD to watch vob files unless i quit OD. DivX/avi movies are fine.

What can i do about this?

Nope no error messages and yes i have reinstalled PowerDVD twice.
The problem begun when i start using the newest version of OD.

Does the crew that works on OD read this or must i write them directly?

It has to do with the overlay mode used by PowerDVD and other programs, and a conflict in the shadows used in ObjectDock. Now I'm no programmer and I just read alot of stuff on the net. Nothing bar closing down objectdock to watch a DVD will work.

Hopefully Stardock will chose to fix this problem in a later release. I like using PowerDVD to watch my DVD's and closing down OD is a little annoying.

That's close. It's to do with per-pixel alpha blending on the screen at the same time - could be OD, could be WB or another 3rd party app that uses per pixel alpha blending. There are quite a few other threads on this around here...

This will definitely do it but others have had success by adjusting the overlay settings in the DVD player. Dig around in all the advanced display settings until you find them and see what happens - you may be one of the lucky ones.

I had this problem until I upgraded both OD to OD+ and a newer version of PowerDVD, as well as upgrading my Geoforce drivers. Not sure which one took care of the problem but it was a royal pain and there are many others with the same problem...I guess I am one of the lucky ones now.
