I had lunch with DavidK this last Friday. He says he wanted me to tell everyone that he said Hi. He is doing well and said he will stop in for a visit to WC.

Hi guys! first thing I did was download Paul's incredible One-a-Day Icon Package and found it isn't recognized by the version of IP I'm running. Oops, guess I gotta update some stuff now.

I'm impressed how much this site has grown, it'll be fun to browse around and discover some of the new features.

Real Life™ has been a trip... too much so to even try to describe. I'm still a starving artist but still breathing so I guess it could be worse. I did manage to quit smoking... it's been almost two years now, I can't believe I finally did it.

I hope everyone here is doing well and harmonizing with the greater good!  
I'll try to come around more often now to keep in touch. You've all been in my heart these two years I've been absent, it's good to see so many of you still here and the site prospering.

yeah, still practicing, haven't entirely got the hang of it but I think my lungs have re-grown at this point. Now if I could grow a new brain I'd be all set... :Þ

ahh I see the quote feature requires you paste the quote in it. Too bad the edit feature is disabled...

would that mean I culd spell gud?

brings to mind my favorite Wizard of Oz quote I've been using for the error sound on my computers for about ten years... "what would you do with a brain if you had one?"

HELP!!!

I just updated my OD apps and now my computer isn't letting me do anything! What happened? No app runs when I try to start it from the link in the start menu. Zone Alarm doesn't load on startup anymore and won't run if I manually try to start it. The screen won't refresh! This is awful! eek... I finally got IE to open this site but it isn't working either, I have to go in Task Manager and close all the IE's that aren't opening until finally one works. I can't get Stardock Central to load at all, it starts a process called loader.exe buit nothing happens. I can't get anything to run.

 

Anybody know what went wrong? How do I un-do the Stardock update I just did???

I think I fixed it... jeesh, that was terrible! I went into the folder for OD and found there was a settings.exe for enhanced dialog in its folder. It opened a dialog box so I unchecked everything and rebooted and then I could get Stardock Central to start so I uninstalled everything except WB IP and WinFX. Now everything seems to be working again...  that was scary...
