Some people just shouldn't own a computer. It's always the software..never them.

Yet "another" reason why we should never let a Woman behind a computer except for chatrooms. Could you tell us what program you were trying to install before you messed everything up.

Yet "another" reason why we should never let a Woman behind a computer except for chatrooms.

From the couple years that I did tech support, I can assure you that men do just as many stupid things as women do.  We recently had a man threaten to sue us because he claimed our software destroyed his DVD drive.  So, please, keep your sexist comments off this forum, OK?

Way to go Karma Girl! As a man I can attest to doing some really stupid things that messed up my computer. If it was not for my wife, who taught me how to operate the computer and its associated software, and help to get me out of my problems I created, I would not be able to respond here today!!!!!!!!

Computers do not care whether it is a man or woman behind the helm....

If you delete the wrong file, or if you do not follow the recommended procedures to install, operate, or uninstall - things can go wrong.

Glad to see the comment is not visible on WC board (though coders might need to be notified if all comments are supposed to be seen on both WC and SD forums).

hmmm let me think...
my wife's computer skills are based on what we learned through our extremely limited user access at work, what I've showed her, and what she's figured out...

When the system goes kablooie!!!....
Guess who was playing last?...here's a hint....you won't find her on the forum...

They might not be.  I'm not sure that comments made on SD by a non-WC member will show up........I'll let the web guys know just in case, though (especially since it looks like the comment isn't there or that I possibly deleted it when viewing from WC).  Thanks for pointing it out.

Darlene,
If you can be patient & get through all your bugs I guarantee you will get "HOOKED" on this software. I went through the same exact growing pains. The moment I first installed the software I "blew up." It seemed everything went haywire and then to top it off I couldn't figure out how to unload the darn software. Of course I contacted support & was terribly rude -- however Nick was so calm & great -- he sent my “uninstall” instructions promptly & I uninstalled it.

A month later or so I decided to look at the software again. This time I took my time installing it. I only installed one component at a time and worked with it to make sure everything was o.k before installing another component.

I then discovered the forum (never used forums before now). Everyone has been extremely patient and helpful with my issues. I have to admit -- I still have problems with some of the software, but the graphics – style – unlimited downloads (thru subscription – WinCustomize Browser), looks and feel etc. etc. truly out weigh the annoyances. I LOVE the way my computer’s interface looks now.

Oh...so why did I get that email as well?....Class action?....

I think it's a fair bet that considering the popularity of computers with the male of the species that considerably MORE 'twits behind the desk' sport gonads and are NOT made from 'sugar and spice....'....

does anybody get a deja vu from this post? The 1st time I read it, I checked the date. Everything, circumstance - age of computer - sentence structure and wording - name -- seems familiar to me.

Is it bad to play with another's avatar? Bichur, if I have in any way offended you, I'm sure an admin would be happy to remove it. I just thought it was cool.

Of course, and admin can remove his own, also. I'll stop now. Back to the winning Chicago White Sox game.
