Is there life out there?

There is so much that is said and documented about the belief or un-belief in extraterrestrials. On this site, there are soooo many alien skins, walls, icons, media players and the like. So I guess I would like to know, "do you believe" in life on other planets?
hmmmm. I wonder if they can tap into the net and read this thread. Better go get the foil hat.

Do you believe?

There must be...

Why else would there be a "Restaurant at the End of the Universe"?

Yes, I believe there is intelligent life elsewhere in the universe. We'd be awfully ignorant/selfish/arrogant in thinking that our "rock" should be the only place in the wast area that we call the universe that contains intelligent life - sadly some do.

I always get mad whenever some scientist pops up and says that this and that planet is unable to sustain life because there are no oxygen/water.
He/she is basing his/her statement on their (the scientists) narrowminded beliefe that life cannot exist where there are no oxygen - may I add here Mr/Mrs/Ms scientists; yes life does require oxygen to exist but only life as we know it.

I personally don't even believe that life (as we know it) originated here on Earth. It may have evolved into what it is today, right here but I believe that the "seed of our life" came whirling through space as a microbe of some sort on a rock/meteor and just by sheer luck happen to drop down on this place billions of years ago. Exactly where it orginated then I don't know but I do have a few "radical" thoughts/ideas about it that I, based on past experiences/conversations, choose to keep to myself

I subscribe to the same theory, for the record.

Yo, Snow! How the heck are ya?

Totally agree with you there, and couldn't have put it better if I tried.
Well said

Our origins "came whirling from space"....this is why scientists cannot resolve the mystery of the missing link.

I would not be suprised if there were life elsewhere in the vastness we call outer-space.

It seems quite probable that there is at least some sort of plant life on another planet - and if plant life exists, then other types of life would seem a natural occurance.

If there isn't, the universe sure is an awful waste of space

This has always struck me as "well stated".

There's life on my sandwich today - does that count?

My humble opinion is "I have no idea". No way to know, right now; so whether we speculate that it makes sense that there is, or we speculate to the contrary, it's all just speculation based on our limited minds and limited experiences. Unless, of course, you've been abducted. Then you have something to go on.

I wanted to share an experience I had with my friends here on Wincustomize. I have an exclusive picture of an alien being that is threatening to take over the Earth.

Be warned my friends, if you click this picture you might never been the "same" again.

Hi there, Eric. I'm still busy as heck with the house-remodeling but I do pop in on #stardock whenever time permits me, but you're normally fast asleep at that time

So true. Tony Blair is a fine example of life here coming from out there...

Though whether he is actually a lifeform is a matter of opinion

Yea, I think there could be. Intelligent... well,.. maybe,.. I suppose it's wise to stay clear of this planet.
