Tiger Woods takes the open

I don't really follow golf, but Tiger Woods won the British open by 5 (!!!) strokes. He finished with a 14 under while the 2nd place person came in at 9 under. With all the talent at the open this year, wining by 5 strokes is a blowout. Congrats to Tiger Woods.

Also, Jack Nicholas retired at the open after failing to get passed the 3rd round. He's been around golf as long as I can remember and it was a pretty stirring moment when he walked over that bridge for the last time and waved to the crowds. Happy retirement!!.

Actually, Jack failed to get past the second round.

Tigers win was closer than the final score. It was close till about the 12 hole or so.

But yes it was good and Jack did birdie the final hole.

Yes, along the way there were two other players that came within one stroke of Tiger [can't remember who though..], but each time, Tiger rose to the challenge and outplayed them to win with as high a margin as he did.

Five times now he has won this paticular open ...and all before his 30th birthday!

Definitely one of [if not] the greatest players of golf the game has ever seen.

Well done Tiger!
