Back from holiday...

...a few 'snaps', or should that be schnapps...

Just back from a week in Austria, my second visit in three years.

Here's the village I stayed in, Soll. A busy ski resort in winter, this time of year it is quiet and peaceful. In the background are the Wilder Kaiser mountains. In the centre is the highest peak, Elmauer Halt at 2344m.

Here is a view of the old part of Salzburg. This photo was taken from the castle high above the city.

And finally, a view of Grossglockner. At 3798m, it is the highest peak in Austria.

Sigh, it is a shame I had to come home. Great holiday though - if you ever get the chance to go, do it!

I like Austria because of the nice mountains...
BTW When I was still living in Slovenia (Austria's neighbor) I used to go to Austria few times a year
