Uploading content just for your personal page

from WinCustomize Forums

You can now upload things for WinCustomize.com that only show up on the gallery of your personal page.  They won't show up in the general (public) galleries but if someone visits your personal page, they can see them there. 

If you don't have a personal page, click on the site link at the top. 

We are also using this opportunity to go through the wallpaper section for things we previously rejected and making some of the submissions available on personal pages (and a few available in the public area).

Are you serious?! You're going to add some of the rejected walls to the library?

(I DO like the idea of having just stuff in the personal pages instead of it all needing to be on the public WinC though! )

Just a question: Are they going to be all blended together with the rest or will they have a separate library?

I'd like to see them sepaprately if possible...

From logon i submitted that was put only in my gallery, moderation looks tougher.

Over 2100 combined downloads so someone likes them.

Just uploaded to my gallery only, I did not select that choice when submit.

All three are Terragen, not the greatest I know, but two in public view before this change, now not good for public
gallery?
I see no difference in them, I think I did a bit better job on buttons on one that is not good enough for public view.

3 of 6 logons just added in last couple hours to public gallery are rated, 1 star, 1 1/2 stars and 2 stars. Either had
someone hit with low rating or put in with low ratings.?!

Had uploaded wallpaper to match logon earlier, it was put in my gallery, no problem with that. When put it my gallery no rating, there are no
downloads but looks like someone viewed it and liked it, is now rated 3 1/2 stars. If works put in personal galleries get good ratings will there be a system where they could be put in public galleries?

When I update my skins in public galleries to link to my personal gallery, can I just update text or do I need to make a new .bootskin etc. and new preview pics to reupload? Thanks.

Also maybe go the other way, since now can be in personal gallery or on someones My Skins for those without personal site.
I searched wallpaper gallery by rating, there are about 390 walls with rating of 1 1/2 stars and lower.
Same idea as in # 5, good ratings personal gallery, move to public gallery, bad ratings public gallery, move to personal gallery.

That would work perfectly for wallpapers... I think maybe for other libraries too of rejected items if that doesn't get in the way of having to much data.

If the whatever is rejected but is deemed viewable on the personal site then just let it be shown.


THIS MIGHT ALSO BE A GREAT WAY TO HAVE A SECTION OF SKINS THAT OR WORK IN PROGRESS!!!
